Registered Provisional Psychologist

Hi, I am Erin. I work with individuals and couples to treat issues related to sex, anxiety, intimacy, gender, identity, and relationships. With specialized training and experience, I do this by using methods backed by science while providing a non-judgmental, collaborative space for you to openly and authentically explore your concerns. As a queer therapist, I also provide queer- and gender-affirming care. Together, we will work on an approach that will help you meet your goals in the short-term, and prepare you for living a more fulfilling life in the long-term.

While a large part of my practice is sex therapy, not all issues need to be sexual or intimate in nature. Many clients who come for sex therapy find that they benefit from treatment of underlying concerns such as fear, shame, anxiety, depression, trauma, lacking confidence, or low mood.

Regardless of your reason for coming in, I use collaborative methods that are backed by decades of scientific evidence and are considered first-line treatment for many disorders. I combine these approaches with humility and cultural sensitivity, knowing that while I may be the expert in the treatment, you are the expert in your life. Additionally, despite historic ways of thinking in psychotherapy, we are not our sole source of distress. Sometimes, in order to be well, we must recognize and challenge the systems in place and the messages we have received that are preventing us from healing, and find a way to rise above.

Now for the hardest part: getting started. If you’re ready to begin, I am here to guide the way.

Why I became a therapist?

In 2018, I left my decade-long career in the arts to become a therapist, with insight into creatives, freelancers and other similar professionals. Part of this shift was my interest in how gender and sexuality impact our experiences. Because of this, I'm passionate about working with individuals on women's issues, men's issues, gender identity, and sex.
