Registered Psychologist | CAP Approved Provisional Psychologist Supervisor
Hi, my name is Karl, a Registered Psychologist with over 15 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, couples, and families. My approach is active, grounded, and compassionate—focused on helping people find clarity, confidence, and connection in the face of life’s challenges.
I work with a wide range of concerns and have specialized training in child and adolescent mental health, including early childhood care and formal assessments related to learning, school functioning, and neurodevelopment.
A significant part of my work involves supporting individuals & couples. Whether you’re feeling stuck in repetitive arguments, issues related to sexual desire and healing after ruptures, dealing with the impact of betrayal or trauma, or struggling with emotional or physical intimacy, I help partners rebuild trust, improve communication, and reconnect. I bring a non-judgmental, clear, and affirming approach to sex therapy—grounded in the belief that intimacy is deeply connected to emotional safety and mutual respect.
Beyond my clinical work, I teach in the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Alberta, as well as in the Faculty of Education at Concordia University of Edmonton.
Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, your relationship, or your family, I’m here to walk alongside you with expertise, empathy, and care.
