Tierney Fitzerald, C.C.C.
Clinical Counsellor
Hi, I’m Tierney, and I’m really glad you’re here. I’m a clinical counsellor who supports individuals, couples, and youth ages 10 and up. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, facing challenges in friendships or relationships, or exploring your identity, you don’t have to face it alone. I offer a safe, welcoming, and neurodivergent-friendly space where you can talk openly, feel truly understood, and explore what’s unfolding in your life, whether the challenges are big or small.
I am deeply passionate about supporting youth and young adults, especially those navigating identity and belonging. I believe exploring your authentic self is an act of real courage, and your identity is something to be respected and honoured. I aim to help you move through difficult experiences, uncertainty and self-discovery with curiosity and compassion. Grounded in current research, my approach emphasizes safety, empowerment, and the importance of meaningful connection.
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, gender-affirming, guided by an anti-oppressive framework. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, including LGBTQ2S+ communities, people exploring sexuality or gender, and neurodivergent individuals. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and we’ll work together to understand what you need and what feels meaningful for you.
At its core, my work is about helping you reconnect with your sense of what truly matters—your values, your relationships, your sense of self—and supporting you in creating a life that feels aligned, grounded, and authentic.
In addition, I have a special interest in working with neurodiverse individuals and couples. When we have different communication styles, sensory needs, or ways of thinking, it can create both challenges and opportunities. Therapy can help couples better understand each other, strengthen connection, and build relationships that support both partners’ needs.
