Counselling Therapist

Hi, I’m Alyssa, a Canadian Certified Counsellor. I work with individuals and couples looking to build skills to have more fulfilling relationships (poly-friendly) using a trauma-informed, feminist, and relational lens.

Humans are social creatures, so relationships, intimacy, and connection are so important to our wellness and life satisfaction. When we experience conflict or disconnection for any reason, it can be tough and impact many areas of our lives and health. I would love to work with you, or you and your partner(s), so you can enjoy intimacy and relationships the way you want

We live in a world that tells us there are right and wrong ways to be, love, and have relationships. As a therapist and as a person, I know that there are endless possibilities, and all of them deserve empathy, compassion, and non-judgmental support. I am passionate about working with queer and trans people, neurodivergent people, people who are a part of the BDSM community, and people who identify as non-monogamous or engage in ethical non-monogamy.

If relationships have been hard for you, if you’re stuck having the same old fights with the people you love, or you’re struggling to figure out who you are and what you want, know you’re not alone. A counsellor who listens and offers support and skills so that you can make the changes you want might be just the thing you need - I’d love to be that person.

I became a therapist because I love being a supportive, non-judgmental person for people. A therapeutic relationship can be a healing space where we are heard and seen, sometimes for the first time. It is an honour to get to build trust and work towards goals with the people who come to me for counselling.
