Psychology Intern
Hi there, I am Kirsten, I’m glad you are here. I get how daunting it can be to find a therapist that feels like a fit and is familiar with your area of concern. I am a daughter, sister, partner, mother, auntie, friend, recreational athlete and volunteer. I share this because I believe the person I am impacts our work together. I am completing my final year of a Master of Counselling and am a student intern, under the supervision of Kingsley Moyo. I provide counselling to teens, young adults, adults and couples.
Maybe you are experiencing anxiety, grief or depression that keeps following you around and robbing your joy. Whether you are feeling upended during a life transition, navigating difficult family dynamics, fighting burnout or feeling overwhelmed we will face it together.
People are wonderfully intricate, and therapy should reflect that. I practice person-centered care and craft our time to meet your unique needs. I draw from attachment theory, narrative therapy, systemic therapy, psychodynamic therapy and internal family systems. I tend to all the facets that make you who you are, including spirituality, which is welcomed, but never assumed.
We all face hard things. You have taken the courageous step of searching for support. Whatever tough you find yourself facing, I would be honored to walk with you as you find your way through it.
