Psychology Intern II

Hi, I'm Harp, a Mental Health Therapist that works with individuals and couples who need more than whats going on.

Are you feeling disconnected in your relationship? Struggling to communicate with your partner about intimacy or sex? Maybe you feel that the baggage from past experiences or cultural taboos has made sex a difficult or even taboo topic in your life. You’re not alone.

In our culture, no one escapes having some form of sexual injury as Stephen Braveman aptly puts it, whether it's due to past harassment, avoidance, or the way we were taught (or not taught) about sex growing up.

I get it we all grow up with different sex and intimacy naratives. How did you learn about sex? Was it an open conversation, or a secret you had to unravel on your own? How were relationships modeled to you by your parents or caregivers? These early experiences shape our understanding of intimacy and can create complex challenges in our adult relationships.

I’m here to help you navigate these complexities. I use an eclectic, anti-oppressive, decolonized, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. This means I draw from various evidence-based modalities to tailor our sessions to your unique needs and experiences.

Available Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays. Sessions are available virtually & in-person.

In our culture, no one escapes having some form of sexual injury - Stephen Braveman.

I believe that understanding the intricate layers of your upbringing, experiences, and identity is crucial in addressing issues around sex, intimacy, and relationships. Therapy with me is not just about tackling problems—it's a journey we embark on together. We'll explore the terrain of your past and present, finding new paths to growth, understanding, and resilience.

Whether it’s opening up about sexual issues for the first time, improving communication with your partner, or healing from past traumas, I’m here to support you every step of the way. It might not always be easy or fun, but the journey towards a healthier, more fulfilling relationship and sex life is always rewarding.
