Psychology Intern

Hi there, I’m Doneca, and if you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, you’re not alone.  I am completing my final year of a Master of Counselling and am a student intern under the supervision of Kingsley Moyo.  I provide counselling to teens, young adults, adults and couples.

Relationships shape so much of how we experience the world: our connections with others, and the relationship we hold within ourselves. When these feel strained, confusing, or painful, it can affect our sense of safety, connection, and understanding. Perhaps you feel stuck in familiar patterns that keep repeating, are navigating anxiety or a sense of listlessness, experiencing challenges with communication or intimacy, or exploring your identity, sexuality, or belonging.

My goal is to foster a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where we can explore what’s going on for you at a pace that feels right. This looks like honest, open, and affirming therapy for all clients, including individuals, couples, youth (14+), LGBTQ2S+ folks, and neurodivergent folks, as you unpack, process, and work towards empowered change.

My clinical interests include relationship dynamics, intimacy and wellness, depression, trauma, neurodiversity, and identity exploration, alongside the everyday things that can weigh us down. I view these not as separate challenges, but as interconnected parts of your lived experience; shaped by patterns, attachment, and the ways youve learned to cope and protect yourself.

Reaching out for support can be hard, but it also reflects something important: a part of you that is ready, or at least willing, to explore something different. And while I don't have a magic wand, I would be honoured to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, connection, and a deeper relationship with yourself.
